Updated Infrastructure Guidelines Impacting the Landscape and Agriculture Industry

Department of Homeland Security Issues Updated Critical Infrastructure Guidelines

The updated guidance identifies "Landscapers" as critical under the public works and infrastructure support services section. The inclusion of “landscapers” now identifies all support for that industry as essential. It’s important to note that state and local governments can choose to adopt this guidance or not.

Keeping Our Customers Growing

As the global health crisis evolves, it’s vital that the world’s farmers have the means to continue essential production as normal. For us, this means continuing to maintain operations – both in our production facilities and in-field teams - to support farmers and their livelihoods. At the same time, we are committed to keeping you informed about Netafim's actions to safeguard our employees and to support our dealers.

Now more than ever, the world needs food security. Now more than ever, we need to work to support each other.

Maintaining a Safe and Operational Workplace

Our priority at the moment is maintaining the health of our employees and their families, while at the same time keeping our farmers supported in every way possible. We are closely monitoring the situation and responding proactively with sustained action.

We've instituted policies at our Fresno Headquarters, manufacturing sites, and distribution centers to protect our employees. These precautions include:

  • Deep cleaning and sanitizing efforts in all common areas.
  • Around the clock disinfecting procedures are in place in our manufacturing plant. These procedures focus on high touch areas and ensure that these areas are completely sanitized between shifts.
  • Protocols have been put in place to prevent non-essential personnel from entering our offices and plants.
  • Shift change protocols have been upgraded to prevent co-mingling across shifts. These protocols ensure our shifts are isolated from each other and minimize potential virus spread.
  • We have reconfigured work spaces and break areas to provide social distancing for employees.
  • An exposure-response plan has been developed and all supervisors are clear on what steps to take in the event we have a confirmed case of COVID-19. We have mitigation measures in place that will allow us to continue our operations in this event.
